It does OK. There are some excellent passages on the relationship of the old with the young, and curiosity, and trying to find meaning to things that have no answers. And eldritch horror galore. Not one of those "Help me, I can't stop reading" page-turners that sometimes King pops on you, though...

There are many problems with this book, but they can all be summed up with a quote from the actual text:From page 297 of the hardcover, third paragraph, starting fourth sentence in: But--this is important--tell me a story, one that has a beginning and a middle and an end where everything is explaine...

I've read several evil-possessed-car stories by Stephen King. This one was by far the best.

Engrossing novel that I will forget completely in five minutes. Typical King really.

Classic King. I was laughing, cringing, cowering, and intrigued all at the same time. And also as is usual with King, I could not put it down before I had gotten through to the end. True to form, King builds a world behind ours that makes us wonder what kind of insight he has into the afterworld (or...
