I write all sorts of stuff. In the past I wrote technical books, but couldn't resist squeezing in some off-beat content to provide a little light relief. I managed to get a mention of Marilyn Monroe into a book on computers and telephones!Nowadays I am fancy free, though my first book followed on from my technical phase. It is about Heddy Lamarr the famous film star and inventor.I have written a couple of books about Oxford and one about Stow-on-the-Wold: my two homes in England. I have also written two travel books: one autobiographical, the other fictional, though firmly based on my experiences in Turkey. And then there are my novels. I've written four now, my latest is a dive into the Sci-fi genre called 3D Futures. Outside of this I guess my favourite is Shaken by China. Like the Turkey book this one is solidly based on true experience. There should be a category for this sort of writing: autobiographical fiction or something.Just now I am enjoying life as a city guide in Oxford. My favourite job is a pub tour: they pay me go to the pub, buy me beer and all I have to do is tell stories - nirvana. I am also dabbling with geology and anything else that takes my fancy: so much to do in this city, so few hours.I spend some time in the Cotswolds which has glorious walking country and in Spain where I am building a stone hut (and a stack of notes for another book).
