Robert Levine is a neurologist who has focused on aging and dementia. A former Chief of Neurology at Norwalk Hospital and an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at Yale, he has writen three books on aging and dementia including his newest one, Aging Wisely. This contains the latest information on the aging process and what we can do to slow it down along with the diseases associated with aging. He has also been a political junkie since his days at Columbia. His book, Resurrecting Democracy-A Citizen's Call For a Centrist Third Party-detailed his passionate belief that America needs and is ready for an alternative to the existing, highly-partisan political parties. He became a neurologist following a tour in Vietnam during the early part of the war. His experience in the Army reinforced his cynicism regarding the workings of the government and the political parties. His book, Shock Therapy For The American Health Care System, provided a template for reform that would constrain escalating costs and improve quality of care. One of Levine's previous books, Aging With Attitude, was picked as one of the outstanding titles of 2004 by Choice, the magazine of the American Library Association.
