I'm pretty sure I wasn't supposed to find this as amusing as I did, but I'm several decades past its target demographic. I'd never read a Three Investigators book before and know a few people with fond memories of them, so I wanted to give one a try. I'm not going to touch on the sheer fantasy o...
As I was not yet writing reviews when I read this book, I don't have reviews for each of the short stories included in this anthology. So here are my ratings; if I ever reread the book, I intend to add reviews.★★★☆☆ Who or What Was It? by Kingsley Amis★★★★☆ The Believers by Robert Arthur★★☆☆☆ A Happ...
from the troll by t.h. white:"You know that eye-to-eye recognition, when two people look deeply into each other's pupils, and burrow to the soul? It usually comes before love. It was one of my favorites when I was in the 8-12 age range...the stories were spooky and creepy, which is right up a young reader's alley. I wonder if this is still on my parents' shelves ...
It's been so many years since I'd even thought about The Three Investigators. To be honest, I'd need to reread them in order to write a decent review. Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed reading these when I was in elementary school.
The Three Investigators mysteries were like a slightly more mature version of Scooby Doo. I know I read a bunch of these books when I was young, but this is the only one that I specifically remember. They were quite entertaining (though I think I preferred the Hardy Boys), but they struck me as a bi...
