It's been a long time since I read this book but I have read the entire series, up until the most current book and I really like it. I love how the series is set outdoors in the different parks. If you like C.J. Box, then you'll like Barr too.
Nevada Barr never disappoints. Her Anna Pigeon books do for the National Park system that Tony Hillerman’s books did for the Navajo Reservation—create a magnificent sense of place. I do most of my “reading” in the form of audio books that I listen to on my commute. But Barr is one of the few authors...
I enjoyed the book. At times it felt a bit slow. But overall I enjoyed it. I'm not that into switching POV's but it was manageable since Anna had the most of it. I really liked both Anna's and Jenny's personality. I hope to see more of Jenny in the other books. And i think it would be fun if they wo...

In The Rope Anna is just a seasonal emp...
This is a fun mystery taking us back to 1995, when Anna Pigeon took her first job with the National Park Service. It's a prequel, so you need not have read any of the other books in the series before reading this one. If you're a long-time Anna Pigeon fan, you'll enjoy seeing her as a rookie. She's ...
I hate to see this series take such a dark turn with the last few books.
