Very good historical fiction with a wonderful cast of characters. It is so readable, sometimes funny and often heartbreaking and if you are interested in reading about Stalin's terror this book brings it brilliantly, vividly and painfully to life.

Like it or not, the CIA has been part of the cold war for decades. Robert Littell is doing a masterful job making us following the *secret* lives of so many rich and complexes characters. Another great read where you will say to yourself, ahhh one more chapter then I'll get to sleep. But no luck, mo...

Love reading about the Israeli / Palestinian conflict and this was an interesting take on it. Fairly believable characters, great plot..
