Robin Turner (1955 - ) was born in Waynesboro, Va as a breach birth. She came out feet first, running and hasn't stopped running since. She has been teaching at the college level since 1987 and enjoys every minute of it. When computers first appeared as desktops (1985), her class put a network together and sent emails between themselves. This was the experience that launched her interest in computers. She has given presentations on "21st Century Learning: Hybrid & Blended Courses - Bringing Web 2.0 to your classroom, blended or hybrid courses." She received a 2009 - "Distinguished eLearning Educator" by the Instructional Technology Council (ITC). She has also received several other awards: 1996, 1998, 2002, 2004, and 2006 - Who's Who Among American Teachers, 2002, 2006 - RCCC Excellence in Teaching Award and 2002 - RCCC State Nominee for R. J Reynolds - NC Excellence in Teaching Award and 1997 State Council of Higher Education of Virginia Outstanding Faculty Award nominee. She has been working with Webpage Design and Development since 1999 and has authored online homework content for over 25 college text.
