Tries way to hard to be clever, getting in Shakespearean quotations even. Good Mythical creatures, stupid bad mythical creatures, nasty men-folk. I won't be looking for the rest of the series.

A collection of stories, both fantasy and science fiction, that in some way revolve around music. Just 'eh' - none that really got my interest.

Some stories better than others (of course), but really liked the premise that the divergence was from scientific reasons, instead of the more usual military battle/political figure ones.
