Reading this series again was like visiting an old best friend from High School. It was every bit as good as I remembered, and being able to get all three books (which I had in paperback at one point but lost in a move) together in digital format was great. Myst was a game series I absolutely loved....
The art in this book is, of course, gorgeous. The text mostly covers the tech involved in rendering Riven, which it was released in conjunction with, with some sidelights on Myst and other aspects of the Riven creative process.
It's been a long time since I read this series, but I liked it because my brother and I used to play Myst together all the time. I was emotionally connected before opening the cover.
I love the twist and turn of the story. I would never expect that Anna followed Atrus and Gehn, and been watching them for 3 years. I love how it all ends.
