Roderick MacIver is an author and artist whose work explores the boundaries of the human enclosure, including self-imposed limitations and boundaries. Rod founded Heron Dance Press and Art Studio in 1994 as an expression of gratitude for the gift of life. Heron Dance closed at the end of 2013, and since then Rod established Roderick MacIver Arts - a web presence where he continues to offer his work as an independent author and artist exploring subjects related to: * The human search for meaning * Living in close connection with the beauty and mystery of wild nature * Art and creativity as an expression of spirituality. The relationship between living a highly-creative life and one's inner world * The human journey in the context of what Joseph Campbell described as following your bliss or "the hero's journey"Rod's most recent work consists of large format work (a recent painting is 36 feet wide) for public spaces.
