Roland Greene writes about Renaissance culture, especially the literatures of England, Latin Europe, and the transatlantic world, and about poetry and poetics from the sixteenth century to the present. He is the author or editor of five books. Since 2001 he has been a member of the faculty of Stanford University, where he is the Mark Pigott KBE Professor in the School of Humanities and Sciences.Greene is the founder and director of Arcade (http://arcade.stanford.edu), a digital salon for literature and the humanities.
