Ronnie Lovich is Director, HIV/AIDS, at Save the Children. Prior to that she worked extensively on programs to address the reproductive and sexual health needs of women and youth, lactation support, and other areas of primary health care. In her current role, Ronnie provides direction and support to a team of HIV/AIDS specialists in support of a growing portfolio of HIV/AIDS programs in prevention and care.Ronnie has lived overseas in Africa and Latin America and Caribbean, and has developed and supported programs in those regions as well as Asia and the former Soviet republics. Originally a women's health care nurse practitioner, she worked extensively in training of trainers to address women's health and gender issues, operations research to test approaches to extend access to services to community settings, and on the development materials for low literate audiences. Prior to joining Save the Children, Ronnie consulted with a range of international organizations, and was co-author of Where Women Have No Doctor - developed with a global network of women's groups and now translated into over 30 languages.
