"You are eating high blood pressure, stress, and adrenaline. You are eating fear, grief, and rage. You are eating suffering, horror, and murder. You are eating cruelty. You are what you eat. You cannot be thin, beautiful with a glowing complexion when you eat fear, grief and rage"*I'm mentally slapp...

This was a last minute squeeze in for 2014 based on a frequent recommendation from a tumblr I follow. It was the worst book I read this year. This book regurgitated some questionable theories and gives some seriously bad advice that sounds like gateway advise to an eating disorder. there were a fe...

Craptastic. This book is lazy and the bitch kitsch gets old fast. I love snark but this book is not snarky it's just rude and dumb (well, unless being called a whore sends you off into a fit of hilarity). The "meals" contain tons of processed crap and "fake" foods in place of dairy and meat. It's a ...

I’m constantly working on me. My lifestyle, my exercise habits, my diet. I picked up Crazy Sexy Diet from my library. I was looking for a book (with recipes and meal plans) that I could use to adjust my diet. I am not rating this book because I was expecting something different and I stopped rea...

It's been years since I've read this one. I think I was fifteen or something. Hah. Read it because of the veggie-content. : )

I love the frank, vicious way this book talks to you. It's perfect for hard-headed people like me.

If you are/were one of the people who bought this book as a weight loss guide, you may be/may have been a bit disappointed. This book is written in an in-your-face manner with some strong la...

I liked this book because it embraces a vegetarian/vegan lifestyle (something that is not covered in so many diet/health books). Also, I think she does a great job at explaining (in layman's terms) why eating certain things are good or bad for you, how your body processes different things, etc.... A...

A friend loaned me this. The writing was fun at first and I was interested in what the authors had to say. But the style got old and I got tired of the authors trying to scare me into turning vegan. It was really all a bit much and not what I expected. I'm not finishing this nonsense.

I have actually read this book three times. If you are interested in weight loss and the food that you are putting into your mouth, it's a good read - full of sarcasm and wit, plus a lot of things you may not know about. One day, while my sister and I were living together, she looked up at my book...
