My fascination with India and the East started when a young farmer from India spent a summer as my 'big brother' on our family farm in Ohio. Later in univeristy I recall saying "I'm tired of studying Christianity with blinders on." I was thinking of the way farmers put blinders on some horses to keep them from being idstracted from their work. Soon I was hooked on comparative religion. My favorite thing is travel, especially travel to Asia with students on study trips. Some of the pictures my students, my wife and I have taken on these trips are included in some of my books. My Two Masters, One Message book comparing Jesus and Buddha is out of print, but used copies are around. I still get email about it, which is great fun. I am currently writing some chapters for a new edition of A Concise Introduction to World Religions, to appear in March 2015. And I'm drafting a book on the world's hotspots of the interaction of religion and politics. In it, readers will board a virtual plane and circle the globe with me, stoppng at the spots where religion and politics are in each other's face. Dr. A (April 2014)
