Roy Hotchkiss (www.royhotchkiss.com) has lived in Price Hill, Ohio, for decades. His mysteries about reluctant private detective Ed McCorkel include a published novel, "An Ideal Way to Die," with more on the way. The mysteries are light-hearted adventures for readers of all ages, set in an adult world but without any inappropriate material. The hero is a graduate of a mail-order course in detective work, ordered from an ad in a comic book. Roy is also writing a historical novel about the founding of Cincinnati, and in 2005 he received the prestigious Griffin Yeatman Award from the city of Cincinnati for a diorama of the historic Price Hill Incline. His column for the Price Hill Historical Society, "The Old Curmudgeon's Corner," garners accolades for its humor and insights into the foibles of everyday life. There's a lot to be cantankerous about, so he's never at a loss for words.
