This is a great book to keep for reference. It's also a fun read for the fashion conscious to see if they were dressed right according to Nina for that occasion! But if you're the least bit unsure of what you should be wearing for an event, Nina really does give you good solid advice from head to to...

Wow what a beautiful story :) I LOVED it. Jane's character is so interesting, and her relationship with Mr. Rochester is just fantastic. Some parts did drag on, but overall it is a wonderful classic. I really liked reading Jane's thoughts and her observations, she is really a wonderful character.

Impractical and impracticeable outside the States (see shop addresses, specific tips, and represented brands, inaccessible or far more expensive in Europe). Other than that, it is a small, pretentious little book; more of an aspirational shopping list (enumerating iPod, BlackBerry and champagne as c...

Firstly, this is not a love story. I'd heard that it was. If you think this is a love story then I think you have a fucked up perception of romance - 50 shades style. However, love story aside, I just didn't enjoy the book. I want to rate it 5 stars, because it's a classic and the ideas and writing ...

I thought this book would be fun and breezy, like Tim Gunn's books on the same subject. It was not. What it was, instead, was a very long list of accessories, some of which were not fashion (Note to Ms. Garcia: An Ipod is not fashion. A passport is not fashion. I get that you're selling a lifest...

This edition of Jane Eyre had the best cover of a classic I've seen in ages. Of course that's rather a superficial reason to claim to like a book and is not linked in any way to the real reasons I like this book.I loved this book because of its story and the underlying themes. The basic themes which...

Unless you have serious cash and a perfect body. This book is almost worthless. There are a couple of good points but most of what Nina Garcia wants women to wear is out of their price range.

A quick disclaimer: I betcha there are some spoilers in here, but I absolutely refuse to hit the spoiler box on books this old. ------My sister and I recently got into one of those stupid cage matches about which was better: Jane Eyre or Wuthering Heights. Before everyone starts popping their monocl...

This book was just okay, not as good as I had hoped it to be. There was a lot brand name/label dropping. Do all women really need to own a pair of Jimmy Choos? I was expecting a more generic list, like every woman needs to own a pair of eff-me pumps. I'm disappointed.
