Okay, so my friend Marie loved this book so much that she practically threw it at me, yelling “YOU HAVE TO READ THIS!!!”She was absolutely right, this book is amazing. I had a little trouble getting into it at first, but I think that was mostly because I only read around 2 pages at a time while we w...

What I loved most about this book was the setting. I love just about anything New Orleans. The setting was richly described and I loved the cemetery scene, and especially the Mardi Gras scene. Everything about the setting was wonderful and the book swept me away with it. I loved the ghost story as i...

oh my gosh, the ending made me want to scream!!! Because of the way they made the events so nonchalantly put, just "oh yeah, whatever, that just happened" WHAT THE HECK?!?! But, good idea, good story plot, a little under-detailed, but overall great. :D

I'd had my eye on this book for quite some time after seeing it at the bookstore. The cover is both appealing and intriguing at the same time and i hoped that the story inside would be the same. Safe to say i wasn't disappointed. Now, i'm not a girl whose favourite place in the world is the South. T...

Loved this book! I loved the way the author used the old legends of New Orleans and mixed it in with modern day. I've always been interested in the subcultures of New Orleans. It's city with such history and this book played on that. So much history is immersed in the story. The characters were intri...

I loved all the details about Mardi Gras & the history of New Orleans. And while I knew something was fishy with the dad leaving, I didn't guess this surprise right away. Great story.

A snail moves faster than this book's pacing. Way too much information is thrown but it sheds a lot of interesting light on New Orleans's culture. The descriptions of the city itself were well-done. Too bad nothing else really lived up to that.

A ghost story set in New Orleans. Could anything be more perfect? And as expected and anticipated, the atmosphere created in this book is the perfect mix of thrill and danger, skittering its cold fingers over your skin as you read. Rebecca is a likable heroine. Though there are instances when I felt ...

Well, this book is by no means a terrible book. It was interesting enough to keep me reading till the end. I was really looking forward to reading a book about ghosts because it has been a very long time since I've encountered one on the subject and I'll be honest, it was a good read. However, it wa...
