Unsurprisingly, Rumors is more of the same of The Luxe. Except there's more plot insanity, con artists, and whining about love, with less female friendliness. If that's even possible.Elizabeth's ex-maid, Lina, has set herself up as a lady, and finds backing to make her lie believable.Tristan, the as...

I wasn't too impressed by The Luxe, but I don't give up on a series unless it was excruciatingly horrific, which The Luxe wasn't. The first book had one main story line that was told from many points of view, but Rumors had lots of divergent story lines that really slowed the pace down. We’d get to read a very tiny part of o...

I thought this would be more about the wild Holland sister rather than about everything but Diana Holland. What I got instead was a predictable mess. Why, oh, why must everything be forced into series especially when there isn't enough story for two books let alone one?

I did enjoy this book but found The Luxe to be more exciting and readable. This is a great read if you loved the Luxe and want to know more about the characters lives (which I did) but the pace slows down quite a lot. The main thing I felt throughout this book was frustration. I was frustrated with ...
