So the series ends here, Em discovers the truth being the reason they do the brain surgery and it is a reason to kill. She also has to resolve her relationships with Brandon and Christopher and come ouf of this alive. It's readable but nothing terribly memorable.

To see full review click here: http://yalbookbriefs.blogspot.com/ This is a very different Meg Cabot book. Perhaps it's because of the darker tone the series takes, it's not everyday your brain gets put into a different body, but it doesn't come off as light and fluffy as some of Meg's other series...

Okay, so I did end up liking Nikki. I wasn't sure I would, since she seemed so selfish, wanting to have her body back even if it killed Em. Nikki as a goth was kind of a funny image.I'm not sure how much of the end of the book I really read. I was too worried about what was going to happen. Project ...

It takes a special kind of mind to warmly embrace the traditionally feminine and find in it the elements of science fiction and thriller. While there are plenty of laughs in a story about a geeky girl who wakes up as a super model, Cabot doesn't choose the easy ones. Oh, no. She finds different t...

This is the last book in the Airhead trilogy and brings a close to the escapades of Emma Watts and Nikki Howard and supporting cast. As we remember from the last book, Emma decided to leave Christopher behind after being threatened by Brandon Stark to expose her truth. Christoper FINALLY learns that...

These books are fun, although I think the plot started to lose focus by this one. I have a feeling Meg Cabot had an idea like "What if … there was a nerdy girl stuck in a model's body?! HAHA" but then she actually tried to give it a plot, which was sort of unnecessary. Like, I like Meg Cabot's humor...

Spoilers throughout - You have been warned. This is the third and concluding book in Meg Cabot's Airhead trilogy and sadly it fails to rise above the mediocrity of the previous volumes. She has a good concept, but she never really uses it. She brings up various issues - like our society's obsession w...

I was really hoping for the series to redeem itself in this book, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. There was a lot of potential in this series, which got promptly wasted. The big problem I keep coming back to is the characterization. It's definitely the weakest part in the series, and it show...

I love all of Meg Cabot's books that I have read! This series is really interesting and while when I first picked it up I thought it was going to be super fluffy, there is lots of intrigue. Runaway is no different. You definitely need to have read the first two books to even begin to understand Runaw...
