Mediocre at best, with some tinges of racism. There's at least a little conflict between some of the Oz-ites (Scarecrow and Woggle-Bug) to give it a little interest.

Another good/fun Ruth Plumly Thompson Oz book. If anyone ever wonders what to get me for Christmas or Birthdays - I would love to have any of ther other (Del Rey published) Ruth Plumly Thompson Oz books. I only have this one and 'The Cowardly Lion of Oz.
This is one of only two books that I read from the Ruth Plumly Thompson Oz series. It's a great book and a very touching story...but of course, I always had a soft spot for the Cowardly Lion ;-)
