Born in 1960 and raised on an overdose of television, NASA, and science fiction, Ryk Brown has worked as a cook, rock guitarist, stage lighting technician, and paramedic. He currently resides in California with his wife, daughter, and cat. Thanks to the support of his readers, he now is able to work full-time on his writing. A long-time fan of all things science and space, the advent of digital publishing has finally given him an excuse to write it all down and share it with others. ("Others" meaning someone other than his poor wife and daughter.) The Frontiers Saga is an on-going series of sci-fi adventures, set in Ryk's version of humanity's future. His characters explore the vast reaches of the galaxy, and perhaps even the universe. He invites you all to join him on this journey of imagination.Official Website: www.frontierssaga.comFacebook: www.facebook.com/pages/The-Frontiers-Saga/311894732166798Twitter: twitter.com/frontierssaga

I should mention right away that my appreciation of this book (or rather lack thereof) is heavily tainted by my personal opinions. As far as I am concerned the ending pretty much ruined the entire series for me. To me the ending is not only highly tragic but also reeks of cheap Hollywood style chock...
