Born in 1983 to an Australian mother and Canadian father in Quito, Ecuador, S.M. Carrière has lived in five countries around the world including Ecuador, Gabon and The Philippines. The family moved to Australia from The Philippines shortly after the commencement of the hostilities there in 1989.S.M. Carrière graduated high school in 2000 and moved to Canada in 2001. In 2002, she commenced university beginning in a Criminology degree, and quickly changing to the Directed Interdisciplinary Programme, focusing on Celtic Studies. She graduated with high honours in 2007.It was not until well after she graduated the writing found her.In addition to writing, S.M. Carrière enjoys training Martial Arts (kickboxing and kung fu) with Wutan Canada, Equestrian Archery, fine arts and music.S.M. Carrière now resides in Canada with her cats and a growing collection of books.
