This book was okay, It was probably my least favourite, however I did like the evil character that is a serial killer Dirk Temple and the woman that is psychic/a shaman. This book is based in Thailand, it is about a Journalist named Stephen Lelloit and his wants to make a documentary or tv show about...

As I was not yet writing reviews when I read this book, I don't have reviews for each of the short stories included in this anthology. So here are my ratings; if I ever reread the book, I intend to add reviews.★★☆☆☆ The Museum of Dr. Moses by Joyce Carol Oates★★☆☆☆ Worse than Bones by Ramsey Campbel...

I'm sorry to say this is bound to be a cranky review. But then I find nothing more annoying than a mediocre short story anthology. Were The Museum of Horrors a novel, I could have closed it after about 50 pages concluding it wasn't worth my time. But with this, I lurched from story to story hoping t...

From back of cover: Here for the first time in paperback are eighteen original tales of terror and the grotesque Those two underlined words fit three of the tales. The other 15 makes good shorts, but couldn't scare a seven year old. Glad I only bought this for a dollar. These are my favorite and onl...

Rock 'n Roll vampires? Yeah. I know. Except Vampire Junction predates The Vampire Lestat by a year and Timmy Valentine is more like Justin Beiber with a cape and a blood obsession. It's a rollicking yarn and it has a nice bent on the Vampire angle.Update: Another goodreads reviewer reminded me what ...

I'm not much on werewolf novels, but this one is cool. Set in the American Plains, it combines Indian lore, history of the American West and kick-ass horror to make what could be called an epic. My favorite S. P. Somtow novel.

This book has proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that I will never be able to get into Anne McCaffrey. Most of the stories were pretty entertaining. I think The Bully and the Beast was my favorite.

Some of these are better than others, ("The Bird Catcher" and "The Levantine Experiment" are the ones that stay with me as particularly good, though both are horror stories more than anything, which isn't usually my cup of tea,) though none stood out as really awful. A few were overly familiar, perh...

This is a collection of 15 short stories from non-US/UK writers. While several stories fall into the traditional SF category, some are straight fantasy/horror, and a couple are hard to describe. Reading this collection is sort of like sampling from a buffet of foreign dishes you've never tried befor...
