I liked this manga. But it just seemed to lack the story and 'pull' of her other series (such as Full Moon and Gentlmen's Alliance). I will continue to read the series, though.
I honestly know nothing about Heian era Japan, the setting of Sakura Hime, so I can't say if she did the era justice or not.
