Salim Akoojee BA HEd BEd MEd PHD (Wits) is Visiting Associate Professor at the University of the Witwatersrand and Lecturer (Hon.) at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (South Africa). He manages the research function at the Manufacturing, Engineering and related services Sector Education and Training Authority(merSETA). He has published a range of books, book chapters and academic articles in scholarly journals. Education experience includes teaching at all levels of the school and the post-school system (including teacher education colleges and university). Primary research interest includes public and private Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in South and Southern Africa.
