Samuel D. Museus is an Associate Professor of Higher Education in the Morgridge College of Education at the University of Denver. He has produced well over 100 publications and national conference presentations focused on understanding the racial, cultural, and structural factors that affect the experiences and outcomes of diverse populations in K-12 and higher education. These include peer-reviewed academic journal articles in the Harvard Educational Review, Journal of College Student Development, Journal of Diversity in Higher Education, Journal of Higher Education, Review of Higher Education, and Teachers College Record. His books include Conducting Research on Asian Americans in Higher Education (2009), Creating Campus Cultures: Fostering Success among Racially Diverse Student Populations (with Uma M. Jayakumar, 2012), Asian American Students in Higher Education (forthcoming in 2013), and The New Majority and Higher Education: A Synthesis of Research on College Students of Color (with Kimberly A. Griffin, forthcoming in 2015). Museus has received several national awards for his research. These include the American College Personnel Association's (ACPA's) Emerging Scholars Award, the ACPA Asian Pacific American Network's (APAN's) Outstanding Contribution to Research Award, the ACPA Multiracial Network's (MRN's) Research of the Year Award, and the Association for the Study of Higher Education's (ASHE's) Early Career Award.
