Wow, one of the WORST books I have EVER read..In one word - BORINGIn too many words - "Water for Elephants"I feel it was impossible to even like the main character. He was described so "mechanical", his love interest is also not that interesting, the Elephant which is SO relevant to the story doesn'...

Greatly entertaining book. Loved the inside look at circus life, and especially enjoyed the narration of Jacob as an old man. The ending was a bit far-fetched, but it made me smile anyway. Took less than 24 hours to read this one.

Ever since I was a little girl I've loved going to the circus, so I was excited to read this book. I loved reading about all the attractions of the Bezini Brothers circus, it was definitely my favorite part of the book. Rosie was definitely my favorite animal and character. The ending was one of my ...

I love this book. When I read the description on Amazon, I was afraid this would be a very depressing tale of abused animals, circus freaks, and runaway orphans during the Great Depression. It is not. Jacob Jankowski walks out on his final exams at veterinary school after his parents die in a car...
