Reading Sarah Kane was like getting punches in the stomach, in the mouth and in the vagina.

I went to see it with somebody who had been incarcerated and she defended it vigorously against my lack of sympathy. Or perhaps that should be empathy.

This is the play Kane referred to as her comedy. Great piece of work but I'm pretty certain she was being facetious when she said that.

I have no idea how to rate this. I don't even know how to describe it. I think I'll need to take a good long think about this one before putting my thoughts down. It deserves serious thought and discussion.

I chose not to give a rating to this play because it is not something you can just simply hate or like. True, I never want to see this being performed on stage because I don't think I would be able to stand it but at the same time, it is so raw that the message it imparts will have you thinking hour...
