I think this series is more interesting to me in the concept than the execution. Written well and I may unfairly have rated because I really could not get into this character or buy into the ending which had a lot of personality changes happening suddenly.

Cassandra Cain has intrigued me for quite a while now, but as I've limited my comic reading (for financial and time considerations), I haven't read nearly enough about her to satisfy my curiosity. Enter Sarah Kuhn and her YA graphic novel to take care of that. It was a brilliant idea to have Kuhn ...

Reviewed for Wit and Sin Unsung Heroine is fresh, fun, and fast-paced. It has all the quirky action I’ve come to expect from Sarah Kuhn’s Heroine Complex series plus a romance that will make you smile and sigh.Lucy may not have superpowers, but that doesn’t stop her from being one of the most fear...

Reviewed for Wit and Sin Heroine’s Journey is a blast to read. It’s a fast-paced, action-packed adventure coupled with a journey of growth. Add in a vibrant cast of characters, a steamy romance, wonderful friendships, a scene-stealing dog, and a to-die-for bookstore and it’s easy to see why I didn...

http://witandsin.blogspot.com/2017/07/review-heroine-worship-by-sarah-kuhn.html Heroine Worship manages to be kick-ass, funny, and heartwarming all at once. It can’t be easy to have a heroine who was previously somewhat unlikeable and definitely demanding, but author Sarah Kuhn proves that she’s m...

A few years back, the city of San Francisco was visited by trans-dimensional demons -- they were unable to stay long before being driven back, but in their wake certain individuals were left with superpowers. Some powers were impressive, others were . . . well, let's just say less-so. Most didn't us...

Not much to say except that I enjoyed this fun romp. I will be reading the sequel, Heroine Worship (Heroine Complex) - Sarah Kuhn , when released. I had my doubts at the beginning of the book (despite some funny moments) because of some heavy foreshadowing that kept teasing reveals reader probabl...

http://witandsin.blogspot.com/2016/07/review-heroine-complex-by-sarah-kuhn.html Heroine Complex is action-packed, geeky good fun. Sarah Kuhn has delivered a new kind of superhero story that’s fresh, fun, and surprisingly relatable. We may not face demon cupcakes on a daily basis, but most of us ha...

ARC provided by NetGalley in exchange for an honest reviewWOW, so this book was a really awesome surprise..Aveda Jupiter is San Francisco's most loved super heroine. Swooping in to vanquish all sorts of demonic baddies. Alas, she doesn't prove indestructible and ends up being hurt and needing to tak...

Aveda Jupiter is San Francisco's most adored superheroine; protecting the city from demon incursions and looking damn file while doing so. Evie Tanaka on the other hand is perfectly happy where she is, supporting her childhood best friend and generally remaining out of the spotlight. It's a bit of...
