Sarah is Associate Professor of Literature at Fayetteville State University, President of the International Association for the Study of Popular Romance (http://iaspr.org), and freelance editor at Alphabet Editing (http://alphabetediting.com).She is co-editor of two academic anthologies:*Women Constructing Men: Female Novelists and Their Male Characters, 1750-2000 (with Katharina Rennhak, from Lexington Books).*New Approaches to Popular Romance Fiction: Critical Essays (with Eric Murphy Selinger, from McFarland). Other than that, Sarah is many things, some of them seemingly contradictory: scholar, author, editor; teacher, mentor; romance reader, reviewer, researcher; Janeite; wife, mother, daughter, girlfriend; tattooed and pierced; former soldier; sexual outlaw. She was born in South Africa, lived in New Jersey, earned her Ph.D. at the University of Michigan, and now lives in North Carolina.
