2.5 starsThe one thing I can say I truly loved about this novel was the setting. I do love a good Italian setting and it was clear that the author knew the city of Venice and also had a deep love for the city as well. There was also a love of gondoliers that I sensed and I admit I hadn't given them ...

3.5 This was quite similar to [b:Venom|9999795|Venom (Secrets of the Eternal Rose, #1)|Fiona Paul|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1331321794s/9999795.jpg|14894766] and despite having read the latter first I enjoyed this a little more.

This was much better than Cinder, but I'm not sure it was meant to be a Cinderella story. You can read my thoughts of why Cinder was such a failure here if you'd like. Second, without being overly graphic romantically, it struck the right balance which ...

Posted on Book Chelle.I won Cross My Heart by Sasha Gould, from Random Buzzers. It was a book I coveted because of the cover, as well as the promising synopsis that I read. The first few words in the synopsis are, “High society, murder, romance, and intrigue…” I mean, how can you not want to read Cr...

My thoughts:From the very first sentence, I knew this book would be more than just words on a page. In a lot of ways, it was almost a painting the way the author was able to create such a magical world. A place I had never visited and definitely a time i would never be able to see. Yet, I felt like ...
