Savannah Schroll Guz holds a Master's Degree from the University of Pittsburgh. In 1997-1998, she was a Fulbright Scholar and worked as a correspondence translator for Bavaria's Prince von Hohenzollern. Previously, her essays, reviews, and cultural criticism have appeared in American Craft, Sculpture, ZMag, Library Journal, The European Journal of Cultural Studies, Modernism/Modernity, Popmatters, DRAFT Magazine, and Pittsburgh City Paper. She is author of the short story collections, The Famous & The Anonymous (2004, American Soma (2009), and In the Aftermath: Stories (2012). She is editor of the theme-based fiction anthology, Consumed: Women on Excess (2006). Her stories have been nominated for a Pushcart and a Storysouth Million Writers Award. She and husband Michael Guz live in Weirton, WV.
