I'm torn. On the one hand, it was nice to continue Cinder's story with another perspective in the mix; Scarlet. But on the other hand, I didn't find Scarlet's story, or in fact her character, nearly as interesting or likeable as Cinder's. I found myself waiting to get back to Cinder's portion of the...
the only drawback to series- good ones anyway- is having to wait for the next book to come out. while I wasn't surprised by the conclusion of the story archs, I was too in love with the characters and enjoying their development, to be upset. and the writing is good enough that I was caught up in the...
I continued to love the story involving Cinder but the new characters were just not endearing, I found them rather annoying. Unlike Cinder the predictability of Scarlet also deterred my enjoyment. I'd say this is a low three stars.
This book was SO good. A lot of people said that this one wasn't as good as Cinder, but I definitely don't agree! I LOVED Scarlet's character!! My video review! -> http://youtu.be/r4eWf0u5ntY
I'm so tempted to deduct the second star but I've read worse—it's a faint praise and meant to be one. Proper review to come, maybe.EDA: You know what. I'm not going to even pretend I'm not lazy. Go read Lisa's review. She says everything I could hope to say only she does it better.
Finally a series with a strong second book! This was great! I loved Cinder and I was really excited to find out where the story was headed. This time the story is told from the points of view of Scarlet and Cinder, which really keeps things moving. There are some great new characters and the sto...
Scarlet was a wonderful sequel to Cinder. There was so much I loved about this book. The characters were brilliant and each had an easily identifiable voice. Seeing the juxtaposition of Scarlet's brash temper and Cinder's calmer plotting as the book switched focus between the two was a fresh chan...
I’m not even sure where to begin because there’s just so much I love about Scarlet. I read reviews saying Scarlet was better than Cinder, but I was skeptical. How do you get better than something I already pretty much consider one of the best? I’m still not sure how exactly that happens, but it did....
