Scott Amis is a native Texan, born in Dallas. He earned an undergraduate degree in architecture from the University of Texas, had a successful private practice, and retired in 2004. He lives in Dallas with his wife Gayle and their three cats, spends his time readying the first volumes of his fictional First Crusade-era trilogy To Shine With Honor for publication, and continues to write short stories. Scott's interests include medieval history, collecting medieval swords and artifacts, architecture and fine arts, and his classic Italian sports car.
