Scott Bischke lives in Bozeman, Montana, where he regularly continues his enthusiastic yoga practice. He has published three other books: FISH TANK: A Fable for Our Times; CROSSING DIVIDES: A Couple's Story of Cancer, Hope, and Hiking Montana's Continental Divide; and TWO WHEELS AROUND NEW ZEALAND: A Bicycle Journey on Friendly Roads.Along with his writing career, Scott has worked as a chemical engineering science researcher at three national laboratories, as an environmental engineer for Hewlett-Packard, as the lab director for the Yellowstone Ecological Research Center, and as a science and technology writer and facilitator specializing in Greater Yellowstone Area science and engineering issues.Scott and his wife Katie Gibson have hiked, biked, and canoed in remote places in locations around the world including backpacking the length of the Continental Divide from Canada to Mexico, and hiking and canoeing the length of the Yellowstone River. A common thread in all of Scott and Katie's travels has been their desire to immerse themselves in the peace, solitude, and tranquility of the natural world. The couple seeks out people, places, and activities that reinforce their desire to live a life filled with positive energy. Perhaps more simply, they seek to live a life that reflects their gratitude for being alive each and every day.
