Scott Jackson is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Systems Architecting and Engineering Program at the University of Southern California (USC). In this role he teaches courses in Systems Engineering Theory and Practice, Systems Engineering Management and Architecting Resilient Systems. In the latter course his book Architecting Resilient Systems: Accident Avoidance and Survival and Recovery from Disruptions is used as the textbook and is published by John Wiley & Sons, Hoboken NJ (2010). Scott is a Fellow of the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE). He represents both USC and INCOSE on The Infrastructure Security Partnership (TISP), a consortium of organizations devoted to finding ways to make critical infrastructure resilient to terrorist attacks and natural disasters, such as hurricanes and earthquakes. His other major book is Systems Engineering for Commercical Aircraft, published by Ashgate Publishing Limited in the UK (1997). To date this is the only known book on this subject.
