A classic murder mystery, it would seem: the kind where the detective gathers everyone together at the end and solves the case. But Lucas Davenport knows it's not going to be that easy. 3.0 Secret Prey
This book certainly didn't disappoint, however, it doesn't contain the level of suspense I've come to expect from this series. That having been said, I'm off to get the next book.

3.0 Secret Prey (Lucas Davenport, #9)
At first I thought this would be a bit of a pedestrian outing in this series but the plot soon picks up and Lucas is as winning as ever. Perhaps a bit more angst than usual but the fascinating characters and the narration by Richard Ferrone made this an enjoyable listen.

5.0 Secret Prey
This book took me to a hunting lodge and had a feel of an Agatha Christie novel. A rich businessman is killed and Davenport picks his way through the executives that wanted him dead. Lucas is depressed because Weather is gone and the team is still healing from the damage done to them in Sudden Prey.
