Can Eve Dallas solve the murder everyone’s talking about?
One February evening, Lt. Eve Dallas finds herself at a chic Manhattan nightspot. It’s not the kind of bar she tends to patronize, but on this night, blood has been spilled.
The mortally wounded woman is professional gossip Larinda Mars. It turns out she was keeping the most shocking stories quiet, for use in her side business as a blackmailer. She’d find out what her rich, prominent marks most wanted to hide and she’d bleed them dry. Now someone’s done the same to her, literally—with a knife to the brachial artery.
Eve didn’t like Larinda Mars. But to find justice, she’ll have to plunge into the dirty little secrets of all the people Mars victimized. And she may learn some information she really didn’t want to know.

At least we looked into a straight murder this time, but we still had to have the victim being the lowest of the low by targeting celebs who were victims of ra...

COD: knife would to the brachial artery. It turns out, the gossips journalist had a side business—blackmail, so it must've been a mark t...
A lot of how this one will be taken depends on how much you can accept the protagonist's view of things. There are some fine and healthy bits of hypocrisy. Healthy because, to my to my sensibilities, hard cut and unbending stances are unmerciful at best, inhuman at worst. Anyway *waves away* I w...
This was a decent read in terms of plotting, placing, and characterization. None of the In Death gang was annoying this time around, although I am tired of Eve's self-righteous need to solve every murder that might cross her path, even unsolved crimes from 20 years ago that have no bearing on the cu...
