This was a bit darker of a book for the series. I think we are seeing somehting happening in Eve she will have to get help to face her past, and I know that Roarke has been trying to help but she doesn't seem to want to help him. But overall I loved this book! This series has been too much fun!
These deaths hit Eve hard. She has to rely on Roarke to get her through the investigation. I like her thinking pattern and how she can get into the mind of the killer. I love how Roarke always has her back. Love these two.
This is one of the few of these that I remember. The start of the book (with Eve's nightmare and her missing Roarke) was familiar but it wasn't until the book goes to the suspects POV that I really remembered this book. I don't have that much to say about this book, aside from how disturbing it...
Best one-liners:Eve: "Okay, now that I've let you fuck me and feed me, thereby satisfying all immediate appetites, I've got work."...Roarke: "Aren't you lucky to have me? A rhetorical question, darling," he said and stuffed caviar into her mouth. I still can't get over how amazing this narrator is!

I loved the book. The plot was great and kept my attention.I like the whole McNab and Peabody dynamic, tho i hope that this time it'll stick cause i like them together. I love when Eve is reprimanding other cops. Its fun to see. Can't wait to see what happens next.
