For more reviews, check out my blog: Craft-CycleAn odd tale of darkness and revenge.Overall, I thought the story was just okay. I didn't find it very original and much of it was very confusing. Some aspects relied too heavily on the artwork in furthering the story, making it vague and unclear at tim...

For more reviews, check out my blog: Craft-CycleThis book was so close to being really, really good. But that ending...I'll start off by saying I haven't read the first three books in the series. I didn't realize it was a series meant to be read chronologically (figured they were standalone stories ...

For more reviews, check out my blog: Craft-CycleYeah, yeah, yeah, I messed up and read these out of order. To be fair, the library only had books 4 and 5 on audiobook and I thought they were each their own individual stories. So yes, I missed out on some of the background stuff which made reading th...

What a different take on Maleficent's side of the story! You can never go wrong with a revamped fairy tale :)

I love these retellings! Serena Valentino does excellent work! Proudly own and will own every one of these! I just loved this retelling. It felt like I was watching a movie when I was reading this book. Just simply fantastic!

While that was also an issue in this book -- although to a lesser extent -- one of the things that...

I love Ursula, but, alas, this was not the Ursula novel I desperately wanted it to be.What annoyed me about the book was that it was not a "standalone," which I really feel like the books in this villain series should be in order to give each villain's potentially complex backstory and motives their...

What happens to someone when they have been wronged by another? Usually we feel hurt. We feel lost. We get angry and try to get back at the other. But when they apologize for wronging you, you may be able to forgive but you will never forget what they have done. And it may ruin a good relationship, ...

The Beast Within: A Tale of Beauty's Prince takes place primarily before Belle met the Beast or even before the Prince became the Beast. Readers learn that the Prince (who is never given a name) was, in fact, once friends with Gaston. Also, the enchantress that the Prince rejected prior to becoming ...

I ended up liking this quite a bit more than I expected going in, though it didn't completely win me over. Let me admit this upfront: Beauty and the Beast is my absolute favorite Disney movie, and may be my favorite movie full stop. I don't mind weird twistings of the original story, but the Disne...
