Ever.""...right up there with Hannibal Lecter as far as disturbing characters go.""...an addicting read.""It's like crack for readers!"A Story of Apocalyptic Insanity:  Are monsters born or are they created? Is it possible for mortal man to bring about the apocalypse of Armageddon? Technology and insanity combine to create a very bad week for the United States and the world. In this can't-put-it-down thriller from breakout author Jerry Hatchett, tech celebrity Matt Decker is on top of the world until his flagship creation, the system that runs the U.S. power grid, suffers a crippling cyber attack. The week is all downhill from there, with the United States and eventually the world suffering from escalating disasters that stretch from New York to Israel to the "sulfurous scarps of hell." A Personal Message from the Author:  With more authors and books than ever, I know how difficult it can be to cut through the clutter and discover new material that you'll enjoy. So, my heartfelt thanks go out to the thousands of readers who have made my first novel (Pawnbroker) such a success. Your public reviews and private notes of enjoyment are the things that keep me writing. My goal is always to create a story that you can't put down and characters you'll remember long after you've finished the book. Feedback on Seven Unholy Days suggests that it hits that mark, and I hope you agree. Be assured that reviews of my work are real. I think buying reviews, or creating "sock puppet" reviews, or trading positive reviews with other authors, is dishonest and an insult to readers, and I do not partake. Finally, please feel free to contact me anytime via jerryhatchett.com ; there's nothing I love more than hearing from readers!

5.0 Seven Unholy Days
"American society has grown so dependent on computer and other electrical systems that we have created our own Achilles' heel of vulnerability, ironically much greater than those of other, less developed nations. After going a few years without reading any science fiction, this "cyber security thriller" was a welcome reintroduction to the genre. An excellent story with masterfully developed characters and powerful (at times disturbing) imagery.
