When a mystery writer cries bloody murder, everyone blames her overactive imagination...Thriller scribe Sophie Katz is as hard-boiled as a woman who drinks Grande Caramel Brownie Frappuccinos can be. So Sophie knows it's not paranoia or post-divorce, living-alone-again jitters, when she becomes convinced that a crazed reader is sneaking into her apartment to reenact scenes from her books. I picked this up while looking for a light-hearted murder mystery and this book definitely falls into that category. It was a very quick and enjoyable read.

It tried too hard to be funny and fell a little flat. It was just too forced and not natural.
This is a great opening to hopefully a great series. Sophie is funny, brave, and almost best of all, not completely white. I read a lot of books where the main characters are white, and while she still is partly white it's refreshing for her to be so different. Not only is she half black, she's Jewi...
