Similar to the sequels to Ender's game, this is much slower book involved with taking the power on Earth after Formic wars. And though it provides interesting setting for all the Battle school children, it is rather simplified to duel between Bean and Achilles. Also, there is rather unconvincing tra...
back in '97 or thereabouts a friend mentioned that Orson Scott Card had followed Ender's Game with two sequels. I was vaguely aware of this fact. the friend said, "together many the two books, or was it three?, are worth the original Ender's Game." before reading any of the sequels, my response was ...
So, a bit of an a round-about way of getting to a review of Shadow of the Hegemon . . .Ender's Game and Enders Shawdow--two exciting books about the same exact same thing, but told from the perspectives of two different characters in the story.Ender's Game has 3 sequals, and when I had finished Ende...
Opening: "Dear Admiral Chamrajnagar: I was given your idname by a mutual friend who once worked for you but now is a glorified dispatcher--I'm sure you know who I mean."I've been reading through the Ender and Bean books recently, because I never finished and I wanted to. I love the first books in bo...
It doesn't have the same EEEE awesome factor that both Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow had. It's still really good though and I like the way it carries the story forward. Saw some of the plot twists coming, or had an idea about them. Be interesting to see where it goes from here, if the series keeps...

Audio, unabridged. This one was a little too dry for me in its repeated analysis of various imaginary political scenarios, and the principal villain seemed less real in this book than the last.
While I like the Bean, Peter, Petra stories, my favorite parts are Virlomi's grass roots rebellion in India. This book makes so much sense as a follow on to Ender's Game.
