Great book! I've about exhausted by Enderverse commentary in reviews of the previous books, so not much left to say about Shadow Puppets except that it fits well with the rest of the series.
Reread all of the Bean books in January.
Definitely preferred this book to it's predecessor. There was a return to the mood and "flavor" of Ender's Game/Shadow that I really felt was missing from Shadow of the Hegemon. The development of Bean's character was great, but I admit, I miss him as a little kid. Watching all the children grow up ...
Better than the last novel in the shadow series, simply because of the dialogue. The witty repartee between the characters and the conspiracy surrounding Achilles entrance in the Hegemon's compound made for an interesting read, as was the developing relationship among the main characters. This how...
Oops! I skipped book two and went straight to book three. It stood on its own though and I enjoyed it. It carries on the story of Bean as he tries to finish the struggle between his nemesis--Achilles.
Card just keeps putting out great stories on the theme of Ender and his family, friends, enemies. Just go read it.Somehow the Caliph and his armies don't ring true as to how it would be. Need to have the 12th Imam's Stoning and Beheading Corps join the story. Still a great story from Ender's line.

I suppose it says all I need to about this book that it's been on my to-read shelf for a while here, and then I read the description and realized I HAD read it and just didn't remember it.
