Shannon Farrington is a former teacher with family ties to both sides of the Civil War. Besides writing she enjoys knitting, gardening and visiting national historic sites. Her first book, Her Rebel Heart (Love Inspired Historical - December 2011) is filled with factual details of life in Baltimore Maryland during the early days of the war. The sequel, An Unlikely Union was published in October 2013. Look for the next installment of the series, Second Chance Love coming in August 2015.
