I don't know whether I unknowingly saved a life or something, but I've been having a fabulous reading streak lately (especially with shifter books).Taking such an overused concept such as shapeshifters on board and actually being able to add something substantial to it is a pretty amazing feat, and ...
I really enjoyed this different take on shifters. They can come into their change (first time of shifting) at pretty much any time up until they hit 20 or so, and when it occurs plays a big role in how their wolves are. They are extremely vulnerable in the first year of this shifting, which is a s...
Okay, the main reason this book has such a high rating is because Jaime is such a woobie and I have an extreme soft spot for well-written woobies. There are some weird character flaws with Rob going on, but he was mostly a plot device for me (anything for the sake of Jaime's happiness!) so w/e.Oh, t...
3 stars because of Jamie and for the fresh and intriguing twist on 'breaking' in shifter lore.I never really got a sense of Rob as a character. His initial reaction to Jamie upon discovering he was a wolf was extremely harsh and prejudicial-but then in the very next chapter we get this long info dum...
An interesting read. The start of the book involved a sex scene that I guess was suppose to enthrall readers but it kind of turned me off a bit. I still kept with it though and actually found the storyline quite enjoyable. There were parts of the story that I didn't think flowed as smoothly but all ...
4 HeartsFirst published MM Good Book Reviewshttp://mmgoodbookreviews.wordpress.com/2011/09/06/shattered-secrets-by-diane-adams-and-rj-scott/ I really enjoyed this one, it was a refreshing change to read a shifter book that wasn’t all about sex and mates; although there is a lot hot sex and some disc...
I like shifter books so it wasnt the shifter part I didnt like, it the lack of connection between the MC. Besides the 'imprinting/mating' well there was nothing. One took care of the other but that was all. I guess not enough. Not sure I'll read the next book, it isnt rated any better.
Shattered Secrets is written by two of my favorite authors so needless to say the book is good. Diane and RJ have co-written a different kind of shifter story where humans and wolfs live openly and work together. Needless to say there are still people out there who hate the wolves and want nothing...
This book was a different take on shifters, which I liked. Overall it was a good read as long as you are not looking for a whole lot. I think the ideas were good for the book, just the execution lacked something for me. Some minor annoyances with how things were explained or should I say not expl...
