Sherrie Lueder was born on November 13, 1951 in Tracy, Minnesota and christened Sherrie Rae Taarud. She would be the second oldest of four siblings. She met her husband, a lifelong resident of Wisconsin, where they chose to settle and raise their four children. Sherrie grew up in Iowa and loved spending her summers near the water and enjoying long days of lounging on the beach reading mystery novels and writing poetry. One of her poems "A Tribute to Mom" was published in a local newspaper (The Lake Park News, December 29, 1979), and later in Eddie-Lou Cole's Anthology of Great Poems.Her first book "HE KILLED OUR JANNY" A Family's Search for the Truth was self-published on September 21, 2011. In January 2013 it won in the top 10 True Crime Book Awards. Within days, "HE KILLED OUR JANNY" went on to become one of Amazon's top 100 best sellers in two categories, True Crime Murder/Mayhem and Family Relationships/Dysfunctional Families. Today it remains an international bestseller.Sherrie's second true crime book "UNTIL SOMEONE GETS HURT" was released in May of 2013. In October 2013, Sherrie appeared as a narrator on Investigation Discovery in its new series "Forbidden," episode 9 "Prince of Darkness," a documentary which featured one of the books convicted killers, Kaushal Niruola.Now the grandmother of seven, Sherrie is currently working on her fifth book, a biography. Her sister, Dawn Taarud, who has assisted her on her last few books will now co-author with Sherrie on her upcoming books. For the true crime lovers...two books are in the works.
