My novels combine humor and unforgettable characters as they explore issues of the day. Book of Mercy features a mother-to-be who wages a battle against censorship in her town. Maud's House explores what happens when a small Vermont town losses its creativity. In Down Dog Diary, a yoga teacher chases a killer while struggling to find her inner peace. All are from www.osmyrrahpublishing.com. Since I'm a professional editor, I decided to share nearly 25 years of experience in an eBook called WriteTips. It helps readers infuse their writing with power and improve their business. This small book can make a big difference--whether you are writing the great American novel or the newsletter for your organization. I started writing essays when I was a journalist in Missouri, Vermont, and North Carolina. I wrote op-ed pieces for USA Today and have published essays in anthologies such as Saint Paul Almanac. Many of my essays appear on my blog, where I write about anything from censorship to ridiculous devices to enhance your cat's intelligence. To read more of my work, visit www.sherry-roberts.com. In the lovely Minnesota summers, I grow flowers: from dahlias and geraniums to lantanas and zinnias; practice yoga and tai chi; ride my bike; and feed the hummingbirds. In the sometimes-long, but always pretty Minnesota winters, I walk in the snow, read by the fire (probably the latest Dennis LeHane, Louise Penny, or Jim Butcher), and bake cookies.
