Sheryl Ann Crawford is the author of 10 books for children and teachers. Her latest book, Easy-to-Read-Science Plays: The Human Body was published by Scholastic Resources (for grades 1-2). Sheryl's articles on writing have appeared on the Institute of Children's Literature website under RX for Writers. Other writing includes magazine stories for Highlights, BabyBug, and Clubhouse Jr. Her story, Kitten's Climb, is part of a reading comprehension booklet (Harcourt/Trophies) and has been used in schools throughout the United States. She is currently working on several picture books, as well as an exciting science-based early chapter book series. Sheryl has taught beginning writing classes at a number of conferences and her local community college. She enjoyed her 25 years as a volunteer Registered Nurse for the American Red Cross. Sheryl has been a shelter nurse for victims of earthquakes, fires, floods, and other disasters. She lives in Southern California and is married to Bob (her UCLA Bruin!), has two sons, two granddaughters, and several rescued dog "children" who wear her out.
