Shumeet Baluja, Ph.D., is currently a Senior Staff Research Scientist at Google. He works in the field of data mining, understanding users on the mobile internet, artificial intelligence, robotics, search and advertising, and has published and patented extensively in those fields. Prior to Google, Shumeet held posts as the Chief Scientist at Lycos, Inc, Chief Technology Officer at Jamdat Mobile, and various roles incubating startup companies.
